Committee deadlocks on 9th Circuit nominee

Jennifer Sung acknowledged signing an “overheated” letter calling Suprmeme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh “an intellectually and morally bankrupt ideologue”.

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee deadlocked Thursday on President Joe Biden's first nominee to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Jennifer Sung, a vote which will allow her nomination to move forward.

U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, accused Sung, a longtime labor attorney who currently serves on the Oregon Employment Relations Board, of "an exceptional lack of judgment" in signing a public letter blasting then-U.S. Supreme Court nominee...
