Car insurance customers sue over rates during lockdown
The state insurance commissioner issued an order on April 13, 2020 which required insurers to make a premium refund to policyholders within 120 days. Insurers have since provided a variety of refunds or credits, which the plaintiffs argued are “extremely arbitrary and inconsistent in amount and duration” in their case.
