Attorneys seek fee hike after new deal in Tinder ageism suit
A new $5.2 million settlement was reached in September between the class members and Tinder, an amount plaintiffs’ counsel P. Casey Pitts argued would not have been possible without his effort in cases he filed three years ago in state court and his appeal of the original settlement to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court Appeals.




Lawyers for dating app users who successfully appealed a settlement in a discrimination case against Tinder for charging higher prices to those older than 29 now want a cut of the attorney fees, arguing the value of the new $5.2 million settlement increased only because of their efforts.
