Judge warns lawyers who want to lead oil spill litigation

“Don’t take with confidence that any nonperformance on your part you’re going to be forgiven by the court,” U.S. District Judge David O. Carter told all the attorneys during the status conference. “For some of you counsel who haven’t been here, I really say to you that you’ll be working just as hard as you always worked. Let’s say it that way.”
