Theranos CEO found guilty of defrauding investors
Elizabeth Holmes — who once was a star CEO whose trial drew large crowds to San Jose’s federal courthouse — could face a maximum of 20 years in prison when she is sentenced. She is expected to appeal.




A federal jury in San Jose convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth A. Holmes on Monday of four counts of defrauding investors.
The jury acquitted her of defrauding patients who used the defunct company's blood testing technology and deadlocked on other charges.
