Broadcom suit against Netflix moved from Texas to California

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit overturned a decision by Chief Judge J. Rodney Gilstrap of the Eastern District of Texas keeping the case in the Lone Star State.

A federal appellate court on Wednesday ordered a patent lawsuit filed by two Broadcom Corp. subsidiaries against Netflix Inc. transferred from the Eastern District of Texas to the Northern District of California.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit overturned a decision by Chief Judge J. Rodney Gilstrap of the Eastern District of Texas keeping the case in the Lone Star State.
