A Riverside County Superior Court judge said he will challenge incumbent District Attorney Michael A. Hestrin in the June election.
Judge Burke E. Strunsky, who was elected to a six-year term on the bench in 2016 and presided over a felony criminal calendar, said Friday he is taking a leave of absence to pursue his candidacy for DA.
