Retired Los Angeles attorney Richard D. Burda, remembered as a brilliant, kind, generous man who loved the law, passed away on May 30 at his home in Hickory, North Carolina. He was 82.
“He had a big personality and an even bigger heart,” his widow, Clare Foley, wrote in an email. “He was so funny. He led a very full and interesting life, from being a federal public defender to later on in life being a farmer.”
