Citibank seeks arbitration in Armenian credit bias lawsuit

The attorney representing the plaintiff and putative class members claims that the federal court still has subject matter jurisdiction to hear the claims under the Class Action Fairness Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

A lawyer for Citibank urged a federal judge in Los Angeles to pause a lawsuit claiming credit discrimination against Armenians on the grounds that the matter must be arbitrated under the bank’s written terms and conditions.
