Voters likely will get a chance to make changes to Prop. 47

Backers of the initiative said they had collected nearly 1 million signatures, far more than the 546,651 valid signatures they would need to qualify for the November ballot.

California voters will likely get a chance to roll back Proposition 47 after backers of a new initiative turned in nearly 1 million signatures on Thursday. Meanwhile, the effort has received a flood of cash from retailers in recent weeks.
