Girardi's attorneys tell judge they're 'building the plane' as they're flying it

Counsel for the disbarred attorney had to grapple with several of their motions - including a bid to delay his wire fraud trial - being dismissed Friday.

U.S. District Judge Josephine L. Staton on Friday shot down a flurry of Tom Girardi's pretrial motions for his upcoming wire fraud trial, including a second unsuccessful bid in as many weeks to delay it from starting on Aug. 6 until sometime in October.
