Landlord appeals court ruling that mass eviction breached Ellis Act

A Los Angeles County judge ruled in June that the landlord of Barrington Plaza in West LA did not intend to permanently exit the rental market.

Douglas Emmett's attorneys are appealing a ruling which found that the landlord's eviction of hundreds of tenants at Barrington Plaza in West Los Angeles was inconsistent with the Ellis Act.
