Judge wants attorneys suing over surfer bullies to speed up
"How many more hours do you need to put on your case? Please think about that because I'm going to probably have a time limit. I don't think this is going very efficiently," Judge Lawrence P. Riff told one of the plaintiffs' attorneys Monday.
Superior Court Judge Lawrence P. Riff told attorneys claiming that Palos Verdes Estates violated the California Coastal Act by failing to police local surfers harassing outsiders that he was not inclined to allow them to call 17 victims as witnesses. On Tuesday Riff said he had already heard from several witnesses and is willing to hear from more but said the attorneys must "make selections" in the interest of time.
