What can AI do for you?
AI tools help with issue selection, record review, and drafting but aren't ready to write full briefs. They're great for brainstorming and editing, but outputs need verification, like work from a junior associate.

My 33-lawyer law firm has been experimenting with artificial intelligence tools available for lawyers and I have some observations to share. Bottom line first: this is powerful technology and there are tools available now that are worth buying and using. But many of the flagship products are -- for now -- too expensive and of too little utility to make them must-buys for all but the largest firms with the most fee-insensitive clients.
