Simply, the military made me a better person. I joined the military, without any prior military service, at 38 years old, and was able to give back in a meaningful way to our Nation. For me, being in the military reinforced the importance of service and making an impact beyond yourself. As such, I am a better judicial officer because I understand service is selfless and more about making a positive difference.
