It gave me perspective during tough situations to differentiate between what was important and what was not. This comes in handy on a daily basis, but especially in trial. While there is a big difference between a war zone and Marshall, Texas, the mental component of hunkering down, committing everything to a task and having faith you'll come out on the other side applies in both situations.
