San Francisco based Orrick, Herrington
& Sutcliffe LLP settled federal class action claims alleging that the firm
was responsible for the exposure of approximately 153,000 individuals' personal
information in a March 2023 data breach. The firm obtained approval for an $8
million settlement from Judge Susan Illston of the US
District Court for the Northern District of California on Nov. 8.
