Phillips 66 accused of dumping contaminated wastewater in Los Angeles County sewer system

"Phillips 66 will continue its cooperation with the U.S. Attorney's office and is prepared to present its case in these matters in court," a company representative said in a statement.

Federal prosecutors charged Phillips 66 with dumping more than 300,000 gallons of contaminated wastewater into Los Angeles County sewer systems.

The Houston-based company's Los Angeles-area facility was indicted Wednesday on six counts of Clean Water Act violations, including both intentional and negligent infractions. $95
