Judge denies Girardi new trial claim, says he proved his own competence
In denying his bid for a new trial on the grounds his mental competency had deteriorated during the proceedings, the judge focused on how he presented himself when he voluntarily testified as the last witness in his defense.
Disbarred plaintiffs' attorney Tom Girardi must face his upcoming wire fraud sentencing in Los Angeles after a federal judge rejected his claims that she did not properly assess his deteriorating mental competency as the case progressed.
