Yelp seeks injunction in California against Texas state action

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Yelp in state court after the company wrote in 2022 that crisis pregnancy centers provide limited medical services. A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel appeared dubious about reviving the company's federal case.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel appeared skeptical Wednesday of arguments by an attorney for Yelp Inc. that it should get a preliminary injunction blocking Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton from penalizing the online review company for attaching warnings about crisis pregnancy centers.
