Shutdown of tiny home maker brings multiple lawsuits

The complaints state that the company's founders knew they would never be able to deliver homes for resale to the plaintiffs when they took thousands of dollars in franchise fees.

Tiny homes are supposed to be a key to solving California's housing crisis. But a leading manufacturer of the small, modular dwellings abruptly shut down in August, leaving customers, creditors and franchisees in the lurch.
