Santa Barbara judge admonished for behavior, misleading CJP

Most of the announcement detailed the judge's misleading of the Commission on Judicial Performance about his retirement plans last year to mitigate discipline in another matter. "He is staying on the bench for now," his current attorneys said.

Santa Barbara County Judge Thomas R. Adams was publicly admonished Tuesday for intemperate behavior such as angrily shouting and flinging papers at a newly sworn in deputy public defender. But most of the announcement detailed his misleading of the Commission on Judicial Performance about his retirement plans last year to mitigate discipline in another matter.
