Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Michael J. Carrozzo faced disciplinary charges Wednesday, accused of offering free legal services to his judicial secretary and improperly utilizing court resources in the process.
The Commission on Judicial Performance said that the alleged misconduct took place between 2018 and 2020, while Carrozzo was serving as the assistant presiding judge in Santa Barbara County. He later went on to serve as the court's presiding judge.
