Shegerian awarded $3.9M in fees against UC Regents

Shegerian & Associates deserve $3.9 million in fees for discrimination lawsuit against UC Regents, judge says, but Regents will appeal.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge awarded Shegerian & Associates $3.9 million in attorney fees against the Regents of the University of California.

The award follows eight years of litigation on behalf of a UCLA oncologist who accused the university of retaliation after she reported a male colleague for harassment. But the university's lawyers with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP have filed a notice of appeal.
