Senate confirms last 2 Biden judges for California

U.S. Magistrate Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Serena R. Murillo were approved on partisan votes to the Southern District and Central District courts, respectively.

The U.S. Senate on Friday confirmed President Joe Biden's final two nominees for vacancies on district courts in California.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks of San Diego and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Serena R. Murillo were approved on partisan votes to the Southern District and Central District courts, respectively. Both were approved 49-47, without any Republican support.
