Multiple lawsuits in LA filed over PIH Health cyberattack

Over a dozen lawsuits filed against PIH Health in LA County Court over a Dec. 1 cyberattack, allegedly exposing 17 million patient records. The first suit was filed by Wilshire Law Firm and Zimmerman Reed LLP.

More than a dozen lawsuits have been filed against PIH Health over a cyberattack on Dec. 1 in which 17 million patient records were stolen, according to some reports.

Wilshire Law Firm and Zimmerman Reed LLP filed the first case in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Dec. 5 on behalf of Ferinand Rivera, a PIH patient.
