The California State Bar provides for the licensure and regulation of attorneys by the State Bar. California Senate Bill 940 now authorizes the State Bar to create a program to certify alternative dispute resolution firms and practitioners. Senate Bill 940 provides a certification process for arbitrators, mediators, and other non-judicial ADR providers - individuals and firms, and attorneys.
