Santa Ana says 3rd attempt to block zoning law lacks merit

Santa Ana's attorneys argued that zoning changes for non-profit clinics were lawful, dismissing claims by Share Our Selves that the city's actions blocked their expansion plans.

Attorneys defending the city of Santa Ana argued that a third round of constitutional challenges to its zoning ordinances for non-profit health clinics lacked merit and should be dropped for good.

According to a joint status report filed on Tuesday, the city will be orally arguing before U.S. District Judge David O. Carter on Jan. 13 to dismiss a second amended complaint from an Orange County health care organization known as Share Our Selves (SOS).
