Cotchett Pitre at center of Exxon's lawsuit over plastic recycling
The lawsuit against the state of California and several environmental groups does not name the law firm but says it is at the center of a plan to engage in "political activities" and use "US proxies" to further the agenda of "foreign interests."
Exxon Mobil Corp. accused California Attorney General Rob Bonta and several environmental groups of defamation in federal court in Texas. Monday's complaint also repeatedly referenced prominent Burlingame law firm Cotchett Pitre & McCarthy LLP, though it did not name it as a named defendant in the case.
