Why I went to law school - Part 2: The triple win

From the moment my dad, Gerald, woke me up to "learn a trade" and began training me to co-run The Store, I was bound to a career in men's retail, but despite my hard work and desire to succeed, I struggled with the ruthless sales tactics, business ethics, and ultimately, my place in the family legacy.

From that morning my dad Gerald woke up his nine-year-old son (me) to "learn a trade," I was fated to a career co-running The Store. Thereafter, he drove me with him to The Store almost every Saturday, every Christmas holiday, and every bright summer day to learn the ropes of selling men's clothes. It cut quite a chunk out of a kid's baseball and hanging-out time.

This wouldn't have been as bad as it sounds if I were really cut out for it. But was I?
