The Workplace Violence Prevention Plan compliance deadline is almost here

California employers must establish an effective workplace violence prevention plan by July 1, 2024, and applies to all California employers, unless they meet certain exemptions. Failure to comply may result in the issuance of a citation and a notice of civil penalty.

Implementation of the new Workplace Violence Prevention Plan Mandate is just around the corner - the compliance deadline is July 1, 2024.

Employers that are covered must establish an "effective workplace violence prevention" plan to prevent and respond to threats and incidents of workplace violence.

The mandate applies to all California employers, regardless of size, unless one of the limited exemptions applies.
