Judge greenlights neurologist testimony in Girardi trial

Tom Girardi's defense counsel intends to argue that the disbarred attorney did not form a culpable state of mind sufficient to establish the elements of the fraud he is alleged to have committed against clients.

A neurology expert who was unable to convince a Los Angeles federal court last year that disbarred attorney Tom Girardi was mentally incompetent will be allowed to speak to jurors about his mental state in his upcoming $15 million wire fraud trial, U.S. District Judge Josephine L. Staton ordered.
