Law Rocks raises $140K for charity in Los Angeles

Attorney bands performed at Law Rocks LA, with Baker & The McKenzies crowned winners.

The 14th Annual Law Rocks Los Angeles took place Thursday night at The Roxy Theater, where attorney-formed bands took to the stage to rock for a cause. Five bands performed to a sold-out crowd, raising an impressive $140,000 for charity.

Baker & The McKenzies, whose members include four attorneys from Baker McKenzie and one from Lynberg & Watkins, were crowned the winners. They performed in support of the Violence Intervention Program (VIP), which provides vital financial, medical and counseling assistance to survivors of domestic violence and child abuse.

Other bands included Guthner and the Nossamites, playing for the Pasadena Community Foundation's Eaton Canyon Fire Relief & Recovery Fund; Jimmy's Brother, supporting the LAFD Foundation; and The Sea at Midnight, raising funds for the LA Food Bank.
