Inventor denies killing wife as jury awards $23.6M to her parents

A jury awarded $23.6 million to Alice Ku's family after finding Silicon Valley inventor Harold Herchen responsible for her 2019 disappearance and death during a trial in California.

A jury that found Silicon Valley inventor Harold Herchen killed his wife in Taiwan has awarded her family $23.6 million in damages in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Herchen's attorney said he continues to deny he killed his wife.
