Lucky Brand LLC's general counsel Maryn L. Miller was in Washington D.C. last month for what she called her "career high," watching her company bring a case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
"To be honest, I never expected that any case I was involved with would go to the U.S. Supreme Court," Miller said. "It takes an incredibly unique mix of events, timing and issues to get something to go this far."
