SUNNYVALE Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Margaret Johnson is glad she took a break from family court a few years ago.

"It's helpful to be out of family law and come back to it," Johnson said during an interview in her chambers in Sunnyvale. "It gives you a different perspective on family court, and enables you to come back fresher."
