RIVERSIDE — To put the practice of law in context for young attorneys, Presiding Justice Manuel A. Ramirez of the 4th District Court of Appeal, Division Two often refers to the parable of three stonemasons.

In the parable, three stonemasons are given bricks and asked what they intend to do with them. The first says he will lay the brick, the second says he will build a wall, the third says he will build a cathedral.
