
Judge Leo Dorado raised his eyebrows and cocked his head. He was listening to a pro per defendant, soon to be on trial for child sexual assault and burglary, argue for a delay in his court-appointed investigator's work.
The defendant explained that he was worried the investigator would turn up evidence he would be forced to give the prosecution.
Dorado listened patiently but turned down the motion by defendant Fred Howard.
