Just one day after the Herford defense verdict, Julia obtained another significant victory for Johnson & Johnson. After extensive briefing and oral argument, the Court granted Johnson & Johnson's motion for summary judgment in what would have been the company's next talc/mesothelioma case to go to trial. (Gibbons v. Axia Acquisition Corporation, et al., LASC Case No. JCCP 4674 / BC644854.)

In 2014, Julia was part of the trial team that won a complete jury defense verdict for DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. in the first Pinnacle metal-on-metal hip implant multi-district litigation case in the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas.
