Maurice Sanchez as partner

Sanchez, who joins from BakerHostetler, focuses on distribution and franchise litigation and commercial litigation. He has experience representing motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors, especially in matters related to market representation and dealer disputes. Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Sanchez worked as in-house counsel for Hyundai Motor America and Mazda Motor of America.

Fox joins from the US Attorney’s Offices in Los Angeles, where he was the chief of the public corruption and civil rights section. There he led an historic investigation of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which included the prosecutions of elected Sheriff Leroy Baca and 20 other enforcement officers for obstruction of justice, corruption and civil rights violations.

Peter P. Chen joined Covington & Burling LLP as partner.

At the Patent Trial and Appeal Board's Silicon Valley Regional Office, he presided on nearly 200 inter partes review and covered business method patent proceedings. Prior to his service at PTAB, Chen was a first-chair intellectual property litigator and handled over 75 patent infringement cases. He also served as general counsel and intellectual property counsel at technology companies in Silicon Valley and is a registered patent attorney.

Glen A. Rothstein as partner in Los Angeles

Glen A. Rothstein has opened a new boutique law office, Rothstein Law APC in Los Angeles. Rothstein, a former partner of Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP, litigates matters relating to sports, entertainment, interactive gaming, and mobile app industries. His past clients have included Lionsgate, Grindstone Entertainment Group, Crytek GmbH and AltaMed Health Services Corp., NFL player Warren Sapp, and actress Sasha Grey. Rothstein is also the CEO and founder of Where Were You When...? LLC, a brand and licensing sports and lifestyle apparel company.

Mathew D. Taggart joined Thomas Employment Law Advocates, APC as senior counsel in West Hollywood.

Taggart has defended a number of business clients against whom plaintiffs sought tens of millions of dollars in damages. He specializes in both employment and consumer litigation while also handling antitrust litigation and has authored antitrust publications for the American Bar Association. D. Jason Lyon joined Hahn & Hahn LLP as litigation counsel in Pasadena.

Mr. Lyon's practice emphasizes business and personal litigation, employment matters, and land use disputes. Mr. Lyon was previously a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles.
