She said she is still impressed with the amount of support and knowledge she's gaining from making the move.
"I learned early in my career that I really enjoy working with startups and early stage clients, because of the closeness of those relationships," she said.
"Smaller companies tend to regard outside counsel as members of their own team, which is gratifying."

Bethany Gayle Lukitsch joined Baker & Hostetler LLP as partner in Los Angeles.

Baker & Hostetler expanded its litigation practice with the addition of Bethany G. Lukitsch, who joined the firm in Los Angeles as a partner and co-chair of the class action defense team on July 13.
"I was really attracted by the firm's commitment to the West Coast," Lukitsch said in an interview. "I was really impressed by the expansion and really the high quality of trial attorneys that they were adding to their West Coast practice."
"They are really building sort of a destination trial team in Los Angeles and that was tremendously attractive to me," she added.
She was also drawn to the firm's reputation in big ticket litigation and class actions.
During her previous 24 years at McGuireWoods LLP, she was co-chair of the class action practice and chaired the litigation subgroup of the data and privacy group.
Lukitsch has handled class actions involving products, labeling and alleged misrepresentation. Her clients include consumer products, manufacturing and food and beverage companies.
"I really love working on complex cases and I love working with the client to build the strategy that's best for them within this complex environment of class actions," she said. "In other words, the messier the better in my mind in terms of the issues and the fact pattern."
Lukitsch is among 35 trial attorneys that have joined Baker & Hostetler on the West Coast since 2019.
