Sideman & Bancroft LLP recently had contractors build an extra staircase between the 22nd and 23rd floors of the firm's newly leased office at Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, an addition geared at helping lawyers more easily reach colleagues in other parts of the building. The effort was part of the firm's familial atmosphere.
