Officials Tell Hospitals, Foster Care to Team Up

LOS ANGELES - Citing the death of a four-year-old foster child who needed a new lung, Los Angeles County supervisors have ordered the Department of Children and Family Services to provide enough qualified foster homes to care for transplant candidates or other medically fragile children.
