Steady Under Fire

SAN JOSE - Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Thomas Hansen didn't really want to become presiding judge. Although he was next in line, ahead of now-retired Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge LaDoris Cordell, Hansen said he was "considering not opting for it" before several of his colleagues convinced him to take the job.
