Enhanced Drug Sentences Struck Down

SAN FRANCISCO - In a stunning blow to federal prosecutors, a significant portion of the government's primary drug-fighting statute was struck down as unconstitutional Thursday by a federal appeals court, opening the door to lower sentences in the most serious drug cases.
