Minors Must Go Before a Judge Under New Law

In a rare display of mutual support for a new law that has changed the legal culture of Juvenile Court, Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti and Public Defender Mike Judge Monday lauded legislation that mandates minors cited for nondetainable offenses must appear before a judge within 60 days.
