Effort to Prolong Child's Payments Rejected by Court
SAN FRANCISCO - Bringing some relief to a severely injured boy, the California Supreme Court ruled Monday that the child's $365,000 judgment against a Los Angeles county hospital should not be both substantially reduced and all payments stretched out over decades to comply with the state's medical malpractice law.
