Rules Changed for State Commissioners, Referees
SAN FRANCISCO - After voicing concerns about creating a "bill of rights" for court commissioners and referees, the state Judicial Council has voted to eliminate the right of such subordinate judicial officers to have a hearing before the presiding judge on disciplinary complaints.
