U.S. Wants La Bella Silent on Campaign Finance

SAN DIEGO - U.S. Attorney Charles La Bella, who as head of a Department of Justice campaign finance task force recommended that Attorney General Janet Reno appoint an independent counsel, has been ordered by Reno's aides not to appear on at least three educational panels where campaign finance or independent counsel issues are on the agenda.
