State Bar Gets Some Good News, on the Real Estate Front

The State Bar of California may finally see the tiniest glint of a silver lining in Gov. Pete Wilson's veto of its funding bill: In the year since the veto, the price the bar can command for its current headquarters building has gone up nearly 30 percent, from $8.34 million to $10.75 million. The bar's Board of Governors will be asked to approve the sale at the higher price during their meeting this weekend in San Francisco.
